In a recent interview with Zeal Nana Kwesi Bliss on Class Xtra, Ghanaian rapper Pappy Kojo shared his deep admiration for Hiplife legend Obrafour while lamenting the difficulties he has faced in trying to collaborate with him.
“It’s terribly hard getting Obrafour,” he admitted, revealing that he has been attempting to reach the iconic artist for the past ten years, a statement that is buzzing entertainment news in Ghana.
Pappy Kojo, who has been vocal about his respect for Obrafour, jokingly expressed that he would have verbally confronted the rapper if not for his profound admiration.
“I really love that guy,” he emphasized, adding, “He’s Obrafour, so I just let it slide. Else, he would have had a really hard time at my hands.” This sentiment underscores the respect Pappy holds for Obrafour, indicating that their relationship is one of reverence rather than rivalry.
The Takoradi-born, Italy-based artist expressed a strong desire to feature both Obrafour and fellow Hiplife legend Samini on his upcoming project, the Millennium 2000 EP, which comprises four tracks. “Maybe next time,” he optimistically noted, hinting at future collaboration possibilities.
