The debate over the greatest Ghanaian rapper of all time was taken to the UTV studios by MzGee, who invited her regular panellists to share their views on the ongoing topic.
Studio guests such as rapper Joe Frazier, Nana Romeo from Accra FM, musician Keche Joshua, and others provided their insights on the issue.
During his contribution, Keche Joshua who happens to be one-half of the music duo Keche, acknowledged Sarkodie’s long-standing presence in the industry and his numerous achievements, but he argued that Obrafour and Lord Kenya still hold the top positions.
Joshua pointed out that social media has played a crucial role in Sarkodie’s current dominance in the rap scene, not only in Ghana but across Africa.
He emphasized that if veterans like Obrafour and Lord Kenya had access to this tool during their prime, the debate on who is the greatest of all time in rap music would have been a different story.
His comment has sparked numerous feedbacks from Ghanaians all over social media and entertainment news outlets.
The debate started following a publication by Graphic Online that ranked Sarkodie as the top Ghanaian rapper of all time..
