Abubakar’s admission of guilt comes after a tumultuous period in which her allegations against the renowned pastor caused a significant stir within both the entertainment and religious communities.
The actress, who has been a prominent figure in Nollywood for many years, found herself embroiled in controversy when she made public claims that not only questioned Suleman’s character but also suggested misconduct that could tarnish his reputation and that of the Omega Fire Ministry.
Her letter reflects a journey of introspection, acknowledging the severity of her actions and the ripple effects they had on those involved.
“I admit that I made false allegations against you; and also regret my actions and the damage I caused to you, your wife, Dr. Mrs. Lizzy Suleman, your family, and the Leaders of the Omega Fire Ministry,” she stated.
The public fallout from her statements led to widespread backlash against Abubakar, with many calling for accountability and an end to what they perceived as a culture of defamation in the industry.
This apology has significant implications, not only for Abubakar’s personal and professional life but also for the broader dialogue around the responsibility that public figures have regarding the information they share, particularly on social media.

The ease of making allegations in the digital age can lead to serious consequences for those targeted, as seen in this case.
In her closing remarks, Abubakar humbly requested forgiveness, recognizing that her apology cannot erase the hurt caused.
“With this letter, I humbly ask for your forgiveness, recognizing that my apology cannot undo the harm, pains, and distress I caused,” she wrote. Her plea highlights the importance of reconciliation and the potential for healing in the wake of public conflict.
