Nigerian actress Halima Abubakar’s legal team has taken action against Emeka Rollas, president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), following her suspension over allegations of spreading false news. In a letter of demand, her lawyers addressed Rollas, stating:
“Your false publication about our client is not only damaging but unfounded. It has caused her emotional and psychological pain, particularly as she has been battling health issues.”
The letter referenced Rollas’s Instagram post, which claimed Halima was behind “high-level cyberbullying and slandering” within the industry. Her lawyers insisted, “Our client has never aided any blogs in cyberbullying or any slanderous activities.”

They emphasized that the publication implies Halima is criminally liable, further harming her reputation. They demanded Rollas immediately remove the post, issue a public apology, and pay her three billion Naira for damages, stating, “If you do not comply within seven days, we will take appropriate legal action against you.”
