Government Designates Kasoa-Winneba Road As National Security Priority

The government of Ghana through the Ministry of Roads and Highways, has officially classified the Kasoa-Winneba road as a national security priority, citing its vital national significance and consistent heavy traffic.

Nasir Yartey, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Ministry, disclosed this information during an interview on the Citi Breakfast Show (CBS) on Wednesday, January 31.

Yartey went on to reveal that the Adenta-Dodowa road has also received the designation of a national security priority.

“That road (Adenta to Dodowa) and the Kasoa-Winneba road have been designated as national security priorities because of the volume of traffic and the importance of those roads,” he stated.

In addition to being labeled a national security priority, Yartey announced that the Kasoa-Winneba road is slated for dualization.

Commuters on the Kasoa-Winneba road have over the years had to endure long hours of traffic which according to some experts affects thr country’s productivity.
