Ghana has received encouraging news at the ongoing 2024 Paris Olympics, as sprinter Benjamin Azamati secured second place in the semi-finals of the Men’s 100M race, earning a spot in the finals.

    Azamati clocked a time of 10.08 seconds to finish second in his heat, which was enough for him to qualify. Jamaican sprinter Kishane Thompson took first place in the heat with a time of 10.00 seconds, also moving on to the semi-finals.

    Additionally, his counterpart, Abdul-Rasheed Saminu finished third in Heat 5 of the Men’s 100M, automatically qualifying for the semi-finals as well.

    Saminu competed alongside reigning Olympic champion Marcell Jacobs, finishing just 0.01 seconds behind him.

    This marks a significant achievement for Ghana, particularly in light of the challenges faced by other athletes in their respective events.

    Unfortunately, Rose Yeboah, who had high expectations, did not progress in the High Jump event, and swimmer Harry Stacey was unable to advance to the next round.

    The latest development was shared by a sports journalist from TV3 an other sources, as depicted in the posts below;
