The Black Starlets have emerged victorious after their third straight win on Tuesday to win the inaugural UEFA U16 Development Tournament.

Ghana finished first with a perfect record, defeating the host country Serbia and then Spain before defeating Switzerland 3-2 in a fiercely contested match.

The team led by Coach Karim Zito proved to be deserving victors, showing a strong sense of purpose and desire to win the championship right away.

They put up a strong performance, dispatching Serbia 4-0 in their opening match, beating Spain after a tough battle, and eventually defeating a resilient Swiss team.

In a dramatic five-goal match against Switzerland, Ramsey Asumadu scored two goals and Bossman Debrah added another to give the Black Starlets the victory.

The four-nation competition, which was held in Belgrade, Serbia, gave Ghana important practice time before the next WAFU Zone B Cup of Nations.
