Ghana Draws 2-2 With Uganda In International Friendly Match

Ghana’s winless streak continues as they settle for a 2-2 draw against Uganda’s Cranes in their second friendly match of the week at Stade Marrakech in Morocco today.

Despite high hopes for a victory following their recent loss to Nigeria, the Black Stars were unable to secure a decisive win.

Ghana took an early lead in the 6th minute when interim captain Jordan Ayew delivered a corner kick, allowing defender Jerome Opoku to head the ball into the net.

However, Uganda fought back and managed to equalize in the 20th minute through a controversial penalty awarded by the referee. Striker Steven Mukwala successfully converted the penalty, levelling the score.

Ghana regained the lead in the 26th minute when right-back Denis Odoi won a penalty, which was calmly converted by Captain Jordan Ayew, marking his 22nd goal for the national team.

Despite their efforts, the Ugandans persisted and eventually found the equalizer in the 82nd minute. This result extends coach Otto Addo’s winless run to two games since taking up the position for the second time.
