French President, Emmanuel Macron To Intervene in Mbappe-PSG Saga

Kylian Mbappe is strongly linked to a sensational move to Real Madrid but a new development reveals French President Emmanuel Macron is launching a bid to stop him from leaving Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

In an effort to retain the France international in the nation, Macron has stated that he is prepared to get involved in the Mbappe drama once more.

Mbappe has informed PSG that he has no plans to extend his agreement with the team, but has denied reports connecting him to Real Madrid.

Real Madrid are reportedly willing to spend €200 million (£170 million/$216 million) to sign him this summer.

President Macron was asked about Mbappe’s situation by RMC Sport and replied: “I don’t have the scoop, but I will try and push for it.”

In a similar circumstance a year prior, Macron spoke to Mbappe and helped persuade him to remain in the French capital despite strong interest from Real.

Now that Karim Benzema has left for Saudi Arabia, Madrid might try to force through a move for Mbappe. The club has watched Mbappe since his days with Monaco, and while Harry Kane has also been mentioned, they may consider this transfer window as their best chance to ultimately sign the World Cup winner.
