Fire Guts Club House Of Ghana Women’s Premier League Champions Ampem Darkoa Ladies

The Techiman base of Ghana Women’s Premier League champions Ampem Darkoa Ladies has been destroyed in a fire outbreak.

The incident which occurred on Friday, December 22, 23, saw players and club officials losing valuables including laptops, passports, money, football jerseys and boots to the inferno.

The fire incident at the club house has led to the postponement of the team’s matchday 8 and 9 fixtures against Super Ladies and Kumasi Sports Academy, as well as their outstanding fixture against Northern Ladies.

Ampem Darkoa Ladies has become a dominant club in female football within Ghana and the African continent over the past few years.

The club recently returned from Ivory Coast where it finished fourth at the CAF Women’s Champions League.
