Fatih Karagümrük: Dede Ayew Gets New Club In Turkey

, Ghana Street Journal

Dede Ayew’s clubless status is nearing extinction after reports emerged that he has landed in Turkey to begin talks with Fatih Karagümrük.

Denis Sebastien, the editor-in-chief of the French football publication FootMercato, also stated on his official X (formerly Twitter) profile that the former West Ham United player is pursuing interest from another Turkish team.

However, according to the French manager, Ayew’s team and Fatih Karagümrük have not reached a definitive agreement yet. After playing for Fenerbache during the 2018–19 season, Ayew had previously played in Turkey.

Ayew is still without a club after finishing his brief stint at Nottingham Forest in the 2022–2023 season and becoming a free agent. Dede Ayew, who joined Forest from Qatari team Al-Sadd in the middle of the previous season, failed to score in 13 outings for the club.

The 33-year-old had a small part in Ghana’s 3-1 victory against Liberia in the Accra Sports Stadium international friendly match. After stints with Swansea City, Olympique Marseille, and Lorient, Ayew has travelled extensively and represented Ghana in three FIFA World Cups.
