Abdul Fatawu Issahaku’s exceptional season with Leicester City in the Championship has earned him the prestigious goal of the season award, as his team secured promotion to the 2024/2025 EPL.

The Ghanaian winger who has been included in Otto Addo’s 26-man squad to face Mali and the Central African Republic (CAR) scored a remarkable curler against Southampton which contributed to their return to the Premier League.

During his loan spell in England, Issahaku has showcased his skills by scoring a hat-trick against another EPL team, solidifying his impressive performance. This success has given Leicester City the option to activate his buy clause from Sporting Lisbon. Additionally, his second goal of the treble earned him the Goal of the Month accolade.

Not only has Issahaku excelled on the field, but he has also been recognized as the club’s best young player. Throughout his loan period, he scored six goals and provided 13 assists, showcasing his versatility and impact.

In the FA Cup round of 16 clash against Bournemouth, Issahaku once again proved his worth by scoring the winning goal for Leicester.

As preparations for the World Cup qualifiers against Mali and the Central African Republic commence, Issahaku has returned home early and joined the Black Stars national team.
