The two teenagers involved in a tragic car accident in East Legon on October 12, 2024, have been laid to rest at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens in Accra.
Justine Agbenu and Maame Dwomoh were buried side-by-side following their untimely deaths in a devastating crash.

The accident, widely covered by Kofi Adomah Nwanwani of Kofi TV, has reinforced its virality and sustained online discourse.
The girls, who shared a close bond, lost their lives after a vehicle driven by Elrod Amoako, the 16-year-old son of Archbishop Salifu Amoako of Alive Chapel International Ministries, collided with the car they were travelling in.
Elrod, driving a white Jaguar, reportedly crashed into the Honda Acura, causing both cars to erupt in flames.
The girls were trapped and tragically burned to death, while Elrod survived and has since been receiving treatment at a hospital.
The sorrowful task of laying the young girls to rest began with Maame Dwomoh’s burial on Saturday, followed by Justine Agbenu’s funeral on October 23, 2024, at Christ the King Catholic Church in Accra.
The funerals drew mourners from different walks of life who came to pay their respects, with friends, family, and classmates offering heartfelt tributes to Justine during the solemn event. Tears flowed as those closest to her laid wreaths in her memory.

The loss of these young lives which has generated a national interest, culminated in a candlelight vigil held at the site of the crash on Dzane Ashie Street and Mensah Wood Avenue on October 18.
Friends, family, and residents gathered to honour the memory of the two girls and reflect on the accident that took them too soon.
