Stonebwoy has opened up about his relationship with the music industry amidst ongoing debates about support and criticism within Ghana’s entertainment circles.
Speaking during an interview on Hitz FM, the Activate hitmaker touched on a range of issues, including fan loyalty, industry challenges, and misconceptions surrounding his colleague, Shatta Wale.
“We all understand, and he [Shatta Wale] has said it many times, but that’s not the truth,” Stonebwoy remarked, countering narratives he feels misrepresent reality.

He emphasized the importance of fans being more constructive in their support. “It’s important for fans to be more discerning and constructive in their support, rather than blindly following negative narratives.”
Stonebwoy, who has often found himself at the crossroads of industry politics, also acknowledged his unique position in Ghanaian music.
“I’m not an industry boy per se, and I can’t see myself as one. But it’s good that I address it, as it’s becoming somewhat of a reality,” he explained, alluding to perceptions of his role in the music scene.
Despite controversies and rivalries often amplified by fanbases and media, Stonebwoy expressed gratitude for the industry’s contributions to his success.

“The industry loves me, and I love them. I know how to relate. I love that it’s my industry. I can’t create hate for myself within the industry,” he shared, striking a tone of reconciliation and self-awareness.
