Ghanaian journalist Bridget Otoo has made a powerful call for transparency, urging the National Democratic Congress (NDC) transition team to stay open and honest during the process of transitioning President Akufo-Addo out of office.
With Ghana’s political scene often marked by tensions between the ruling party and the opposition, Otoo’s message comes at a crucial time as the country prepares for a change in leadership following the 2024 elections.

In a statement she shared on X, Bridget expressed her concerns about the potential for misinformation, particularly from the New Patriotic Party (NPP), and emphasized the need for the NDC to take proactive steps to avoid any misunderstandings or false narratives.
“I know how vengeful the NPP is, and with that in mind, I would urge the NDC transition team to be an open book!” she declared.
Bridget Otoo’s advice was not just a call for openness but also a stern warning.
She urged the NDC transition team to resist any temptations to conceal details of the process, cautioning that the repercussions of not being forthright could lead to serious political fallout.
