In a striking political development, Vice President and New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia conceded defeat even before the Electoral Commission (EC) made its official declaration.
This symbolic concession cleared the stage for NDC’s John Dramani Mahama to make a historic comeback, securing a second term as President of Ghana.

The election, held on Saturday, December 7, saw a decisive victory for the former president, Mahama, who garnered 6,328,397 votes, amounting to 56.55%.
