King Promise recently had a conversation with YouTuber Kwadwo Sheldon, where they discussed various aspects of the music industry, King Promise’s career, his thoughts on not winning the Artiste of the Year award, and his friendship with Efia Odo.
During the discussion, King Promise addressed the negative comments that have been made about Efia Odo, stating that he has seen them all.
Despite the public’s call to sever ties with her, King Promise expressed his strong fondness for her and emphasized that their friendship predates his fame and success.
While he understands his fans’ concerns, King Promise made it clear that he has no plans to end his friendship with Efia Odo anytime soon.
“I don’t know. I’ve asked some of my friends why they don’t like her, but they can’t give me a reason. Maybe it’s because they don’t appreciate her character, but for me, I appreciate her uniqueness.”
“I’ve known Efia for about eight years, long before I gained fame, and she has always been supportive of everything I do. So why should I abandon my friend just because you don’t like her? Does that make sense? It certainly doesn’t make sense.”
Meanwhile, Efia Odo has previously reacted to the concerns raised by online users regarding her alleged bad luck on King Promise, which supposedly hindered him from winning the prestigious Artiste of the Year award at the recently concluded Telecel Ghana Music Awards held at the Accra International Conference Centre.
In her statement, Efia acknowledged that she is aware of the prevailing consensus on social media and beyond.
While she refrained from directly addressing the circulating rumours, her demeanour indicates that those who believe in this notion are narrow-minded in their thinking.
