‘Do It For Hajia’ – Kudus Mohammed React to Kamaldeen Sulemana’s Move to Southampton

Kudus Mohammed has warmly reacted to Kamaldeen Sulemana’s transfer to Southampton in the EPL on the final day of the transfer window.

Recall that on Tuesday, Sulemana agreed to join the Saints from Stade Rennais in France on a four-and-a-half-year contract. Reacting to the official announcement of the winger by Southampton on social media, Kudus who is a good friend of his Black Stars teammate tweeted thus, “Do it for Hajia”

After spending a season and a half with Rennais, where he made 47 appearances and produced six goals, the 20-year-old forward has exited Ligue 1 to broaden his horizon.

Southampton will focus on surviving in the Premier League after being ousted from the Carabao Cup on Tuesday by Newcastle United. Sulemana meets up with fellow countryman Mohammed Salisu at Saint Mary’s.

Kamaldeen agreed to a five-year deal with Ligue 1 club Rennes on July 16, 2021, for an estimated €20 million. He therefore eclipsed Alexander Srloth, the previous Danish league transfer record holder. On August 8, 2021, Kamaldeen made his complete debut for Rennes against Lens in the opening match of the Ligue 1 season. He scored the lone goal for Rennes in the 14th minute of a 1-1 draw.
