Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing a growing storm of allegations as numerous lawsuits are expected to be filed against the entertainment mogul.
At a press conference held on Tuesday, Texas attorney Tony Buzbee announced that he is representing a staggering 120 individuals who have come forward with accusations against Diddy, with claims stretching back over two decades.
“We will expose the enablers who enabled this conduct behind closed doors,” Buzbee stated during the press briefing.
He made it clear that his team is prepared to pursue the matter relentlessly, emphasizing that no one will be spared, regardless of their stature.
“Many powerful people… many dirty secrets,” he remarked, hinting at the extensive nature of the allegations that may implicate others within the industry.
Buzbee claimed that his team has gathered substantial evidence, including photographs, videos, and text messages, to support the claims against Diddy.
The nature of the allegations is severe, encompassing accusations of “violent sexual assault or rape,” “facilitated sex with a controlled substance,” “dissemination of video recordings,” and “sexual abuse of minors.”
Buzbee stressed the seriousness of the situation, stating, “It’s a long list already, but because of the nature of this case, we are going to make sure, damn sure, we are right before we do that. These names will shock you.”
The attorney revealed that more than 3,000 individuals have reached out to his office with allegations against Combs, and he plans to begin filing lawsuits in various states within the next 30 days.
While he did not disclose the names of additional defendants at this time, he hinted that others could also be implicated in the unfolding drama.
Notably, the demographics of the new group of accusers paint a complex picture; Buzbee noted that 62% of the individuals identifying as African American come from over 25 states, with the largest representation from New York, California, Georgia, and Florida.
Alarmingly, 25 of these accusers were minors at the time of the alleged incidents, with some dating back to as early as 1991.
Among the most distressing claims, Buzbee revealed that one accuser was as young as 9 years old during their alleged encounter.
This latest development marks a significant moment in Diddy’s career, which has been characterized by immense success and influence in the music industry.
