Sean “Diddy” Combs, the music mogul, is making another attempt to secure his release from jail, three weeks after his arrest on serious federal charges.
Combs, 54, has filed a third appeal for pretrial release, this time with the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
Diddy was arrested in September 2024 and has been held at the Metropolitan Correctional Facility in Brooklyn since. He faces charges including sex trafficking, racketeering, and prostitution. Despite offering a $50 million bail and agreeing to strict conditions—such as weekly drug tests and no female visitors outside of family—his previous bond requests have been denied.

In his latest appeal, Diddy’s legal team argues that he poses no flight risk and that the proposed bail conditions sufficiently address concerns about witness tampering. The appeal also includes a commitment to sell his private plane and avoid contact with known grand jury witnesses.
The court has not yet made a decision on this third appeal, and Diddy remains in custody as he awaits trial. His legal team is hopeful that the court will reconsider the bail request, allowing him to be released to his Miami home until his trial begins.
