Ghanaian media personality and socialite Afia Schwarzenegger has once again taken her ongoing rivalry with fellow media icon Deloris Frimpong Manso, widely known as Delay, to a new level.
In a video sighted by GhanaStreetJournal, Afia, currently residing in the United States, made a series of bold claims about Delay’s alleged ties to a prominent politician, sparking a fresh wave of controversy in their long-standing feud.

In the video, Afia accused Delay of receiving lavish gifts, including a Prado vehicle, from a married presidential candidate.
According to her, this politician has been funding Delay’s opulent lifestyle. “This politician is the one funding Delay’s life of luxury,” Afia declared, her tone both scornful and determined. “She’s being pampered by a man who already has a family, and that’s how she’s maintaining her public image.”
While these allegations are serious, what truly captured the public’s attention was Afia’s decision to back her claims with a spiritual ritual.
In a dramatic gesture, Afia invoked the name of Antoa, a powerful deity from the Ashanti region, known for its role in traditional justice and curses. Holding a set of eggs, Afia called on the deity to punish either her or Delay, depending on the truth of her accusations.
“If what I’m saying is true, may Antoa deal with Delay,” she swore, before breaking the eggs in a symbolic gesture of sealing her words with the wrath of the gods. “But if I am lying, then let the gods deal with me.”
This isn’t the first time Afia and Delay have clashed publicly. Their rivalry dates back years, with both women taking shots at each other through social media, interviews, and even on their respective platforms. However, the use of spiritual rituals marks a significant escalation, reflecting the depth of the animosity between the two.

The ritual invoking Antoa holds considerable cultural weight. In many parts of Ghana, swearing on a deity, especially one as revered as Antoa, is seen as a solemn and binding act.
The breaking of eggs, in this context, is a powerful symbol of commitment to the truth—failure to uphold that truth could invite divine retribution. It’s a risky move, one that Afia seems fully prepared to stand by.
Public reactions have been swift and divided. While some have expressed disbelief over Afia’s willingness to go to such lengths, others have questioned the legitimacy of her claims, viewing the incident as another chapter in the long history of celebrity feuds designed to keep both parties in the spotlight.
Deloris Frimpong Manso has yet to respond to these latest allegations, but many are waiting to see how the ever-resilient media mogul will react.
Delay, known for her poise and often calculated silence amidst controversies, might choose to remain above the fray, as she has done in previous instances. Alternatively, she could break her silence with her trademark wit, further fueling the drama.
As Afia bluntly put it: “I’ve said my truth—now we’ll see who the gods will punish.”
