Deloris Frimpong Manso, better known as Delay, has inspired her fans, reflecting rise from humble beginnings to becoming one of Ghana’s most prominent media figures.
In a recent a video shared by blogger Mari Gyata, Delay opened up about the stark realities of her early life and how she fought her way to success.
Recalling a time when she and a friend would share a single meal of ‘check check’—fried rice bought from a roadside vendor—she painted a vivid picture of what it meant to have very little.
“At a point, I had only one brassiere,” she revealed, a blunt reminder of just how tough life was for her in those days.
Delay used every setback as a stepping stone, fueling her ambition to become something more.
Over time, she expanded her influence, moving from radio to television, where her flagship show, The Delay Show, quickly became a must-watch for viewers across the country.
The show’s success propelled her to greater heights, and soon, Delay wasn’t just a media personality—she was a brand.
Beyond media, she ventured into business, launching her own range of food products, further solidifying her status as an entrepreneur.
