Cristiano Ronaldo has once again showcased his significant global impact, this time within the digital landscape.
The 39-year-old Portuguese star, celebrated for his remarkable accomplishments on the field, has achieved a new milestone by setting a YouTube record for the fastest channel to amass 10 million subscribers.
Ronaldo introduced his YouTube channel, UR Cristiano, on Wednesday, August 21, immediately engaging millions of fans around the globe.
The channel launched with a variety of content, including a teaser trailer, an entertaining quiz game featuring his partner Georgina Rodriguez, and a video of Ronaldo interacting with his wax figure at Madame Tussauds.
In a remarkable achievement, Ronaldo’s channel attracted over 1 million subscribers in under 90 minutes, marking it as the fastest to reach this milestone.
Within just six hours, the subscriber count exceeded 6 million, and by the end of the day, it surpassed 10 million, breaking the previous record held by Hamster Kombat, which took a week to achieve the same feat.
Currently, Ronaldo’s channel has nearly 12 million subscribers and continues to expand rapidly. The football legend expressed his gratitude to his fans on social media, humorously referring to them as “SIUUUbscribers,” a playful nod to his famous celebration.
“A present for my family … Thank you to all the SIUUUbscribers!” Ronaldo wrote while showing off his ‘Gold Play Button’ to his children.
Earlier, announcing the launch of his channel on his social media platforms, Ronaldo, who has 112.5 million followers on X, 170 million on Facebook, and 636 million on Instagram, posted: “The wait is over. My @YouTube channel is finally here! SIUUUbscribe and join me on this new journey.”
