Chris Hughton Is Ghana’s Worst Manager—Angry Ghanaians Sing War Songs On Social Media

Ghana’s near elimination from the AFCON tournament has sparked outrage among Ghanaians, who are now calling for the dismissal of head coach Chris Hughton.

Fans are growing increasingly frustrated with the team’s poor performances in recent years and the performance against Mozambique is the height of it all.

In their latest match against Mozambique, Ghana was leading 2-0 until the 90th minute, but two late goals from Mozambique resulted in a 2-2 draw and dashed Ghana’s hopes of reaching the Last 16.

Despite finishing third in Group B with two points, it remains uncertain whether Ghana will advance to the next round. Cape Verde, who finished first in the group after a 2-2 draw against Egypt, and Egypt, who finished second, have secured their spots in the knockout stages.

Ghana’s early penalty goal by Jordan Ayew and his subsequent conversion of a second penalty seemed to secure their victory, but a penalty awarded to Mozambique in the first minute of optional time and a late equalizer from Renildo Mandava turned the tables.

Both Ghana and Mozambique ended the group stages with two points each.
