In a plea to the Ghana Football Association (GFA), renowned gospel musician Sonnie Badu has expressed his concern over the performance of the national football team, the Black Stars, during the ongoing AFCON qualifiers.
Taking to Instagram, Badu highlighted the emotional toll of the team’s recent struggles and called for the reinstatement of a key figure he believes is vital for their success.
“Dear @ghana_fa_official, I can tell you for free that this was a painful win for my friend,” Badu wrote, emphasizing his deep connection to the team and its members.

While the Black Stars have historically been a source of national pride, their recent performance has left fans and supporters disheartened, prompting Badu’s passionate appeal for change.
His message resonates beyond mere statistics; Badu posits that the challenges faced by the Black Stars are not solely rooted in physical or tactical shortcomings but are also spiritual in nature. “Let’s swallow our pride and bring him back!
“This is more spiritual than physical, and if you think football isn’t spiritual, just hear me out,” he continued. This perspective suggests that the struggles of the team might be intertwined with deeper, unseen forces that influence their performance on the pitch.
