Ghana’s Black Stars delivered a commanding performance against Madagascar, securing a 3-0 victory in their latest 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier. The match, played at Le Grand Stade d’Al Hoceima in Morocco, saw Ghana take full control as they inched closer to securing a spot at the global tournament.

Match Breakdown

The Black Stars wasted no time asserting their dominance, with Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey opening the scoring in the 11th minute. Rising to meet a Jordan Ayew free-kick, Partey’s powerful header put Ghana ahead early in the game.

Partey struck again in the 54th minute, making the most of another Ayew assist, this time from a well-delivered corner. The double from Partey set the tone for Ghana’s dominant display.

Just five minutes later, West Ham United’s Mohammed Kudus sealed the victory with a clinical finish in the 59th minute, ensuring Madagascar had no way back into the game.

Despite Iñaki Williams coming on in the final stages, the Black Stars were content with their comfortable lead, managing the game efficiently until the final whistle.

Ghana’s Road to the World Cup

This emphatic win extends Ghana’s lead in Group I, strengthening their chances of qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. With five points clear at the top, the Black Stars look poised to book their ticket to the biggest stage in football.
