During his campaign in the Ashanti Region, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), showcased his dancing skills in a viral video.
The catchy tune of Guru’s Lapaz Toyota seemed to resonate with Bawumia, as he joined in the song’s lyrics and even mimicked driving gestures on the dance floor. This display further emphasized his infamous mantra of being the just driver’s mate and now wanting to be in the driver’s seat.
Currently, on a three-day campaign tour in the Ashanti Region, Bawumia is engaging with party members, conducting door-to-door campaigns, and meeting with various organized groups and religious bodies.
As part of his itinerary, he will also pay a courtesy visit to the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, at the Manhyia Palace.
In the same vein Ghanaian comedian SKD Dele, whose real name is Saddick Sule, reacted to a report by Citi News regarding Dr Mahamudu Bawumia‘s walk in Kumasi as part of his campaign in the Ashanti Region to secure votes for the upcoming 2024 presidential elections.
The comedian and food vlogger shared a video of the news item from Citi, which showcased Dr Bawumia being followed by a large crowd of New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporters.
SKD Dele expressed his concern about the blocked roads and noise pollution, stating that it is unfair to the ordinary Ghanaian.
According to Citi News, in addition to the walk, the NPP flagbearer also visited the Black Stars on Sunday before their 2026 World Cup qualifier against the Central African Republic match on Monday.
