Despite recent challenges, the head of Public Relations and Strategy at the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Neil Armstrong-Mortagbe has said the Ghana Football Association (GFA) continues to back head coach Otto Addo.

Here are the points we deduced from a recent interview he had with Metro TV concerning coach Otto Addo’s situation.

1. GFA’s Support: Neil Armstrong-Mortagbe confirmed the association’s full support for Otto Addo, despite poor performances.

2. Recent Performance Issues: The Black Stars have struggled in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers, remaining winless after four games and sitting third in Group F with only two points.

3. Calls for Dismissal: Some fans have expressed dissatisfaction and called for Addo’s dismissal due to the team’s lacklustre performances.

4. Long-term Engagement: Armstrong-Mortagbe emphasized that Addo was engaged on a long-term basis, citing positive early performances against Mali and the Central African Republic as reasons for continued support.

5. Expectation for Improvement: The GFA’s Executive Council expects to see improvements in the upcoming matches, viewing past results as an anomaly.
