Atletico Madrid Manager Diego Simeone Reveals The Minimum Monthly Sex Requirement For His Players

Diego Simeone, manager of Atletico Madrid, has jokingly said that players who engage in sex simply four times per month are ineligible to play for his teams.

With one game remaining in the season, the 53-year-old Argentinian manager of Atletico Madrid guided his group to a third-place finish in LaLiga.

Simeone spoke on his own future at the club as well as some of the immediate challenges facing Atletico, such as Joao Felix’s return from Chelsea, in an interview with Cadena COPE.

Simeone made the odd claim in the lengthy conversation after the host highlighted research showing that the average Spaniard has sex 56 times per year.

Simeone replied, “How many? 56… 56 a year… How many are a month? Four a month? Four a month no…

“With four times a month you can’t play in my team.”

In the COPE studio, this response elicited hysterical laughing.

The interviewers pressed Simeone for a more realistic number, and he replied: “Fifteen a month? I’m not going to say… but we have a good average.”

In June 2019, Simeone discreetly wed his model bride Carla Pereyra; the couple has two daughters.

Additionally, the Argentine has three professional footballing sons from his first marriage.
