Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo is off to a sensational start in the FA Cup, marking his first-ever goal in the competition for AFC Bournemouth.
The 25-year-old Black Stars player made an instant impact during Bournemouth’s resounding 5-1 victory over EFL Championship side West Bromwich Albion in the third round.
Coming on as a halftime substitute, Semenyo wasted no time in making his mark. Just two minutes into the second half, he latched onto a brilliant assist from David Brook, following a slick play on the right side, with Burkinabe winger Dango Ouattara heavily involved.
Semenyo unleashed a powerful strike, sending the ball crashing into the top corner of the net — a debut FA Cup goal that had fans roaring.
Semenyo, who celebrated his 25th birthday just days earlier, didn’t stop there.
In addition to his goal, he also played a crucial role in setting up Bournemouth’s fifth and final goal. His assist for Daniel Jebbison rounded off a perfect performance in the tournament, adding another chapter to his growing legacy at the club.
Since his move from Bristol City in January 2023, Semenyo has been a key figure for Bournemouth, contributing six goals and three assists in 21 appearances across all competitions.
