Dosty, who has a rich background in music, explained that the decision was made to allow Bradez to carve out their own identity in the highly competitive music industry.

“I believed that for Bradez to thrive and establish their own unique presence, it was essential for them to operate independently of Okyeame Kwame, who was already a well-established and influential figure,” Dosty said.

The experienced DJ emphasized that his actions were driven by a desire to see Bradez flourish on their own terms. “It wasn’t about creating a rift, but about giving them the space to grow and develop without being overshadowed,” he added.

Okyeame Kwame responded to Dosty’s comments, acknowledging the good intentions behind the advice.

“Andy Dosty’s suggestion to separate me from the group, which includes my biological brothers, came from a place of wanting the best for all of us,” Kwame noted. “Though the outcome wasn’t exactly what we expected, the intention was clear.”

Kwame also shared his personal aspirations for his brother Kunte, whom he had taken under his wing after their father’s passing.

“I had plans to nurture Kunte into a global star, but Andy’s counsel interrupted the trajectory I had envisioned for him,” he explained. Despite the unexpected turn of events, Kwame expressed no ill will and recognized the broader impact of Dosty’s advice.

Bradez, comprised of Kwame’s brothers, Stone and Kunta Kinte, is well-known in the Ghanaian music industry.

The group made significant waves with hits like “Simple” and “One Gallon,” gaining popularity for their unique sound and energetic performances.

However, their journey was not without challenges. Kunta Kinte, in particular, faced a major setback due to a severe illness that affected his career progression.
