Veteran Ghanaian musician Okyeame Kwame, often called “Rap Dacta,” opened up about an intense chapter in his career during an appearance on the show DayBreak Hitz with host Andy Dosty.
Reflecting on the years-old feud sparked by Obrafour’s diss track “Kasiebo,” Okyeame Kwame admitted he was deeply angered by the song, which was widely understood to be aimed at him.

“Honestly, I was angry,” he shared candidly. “I was so upset that I actually wrote an entire book of diss tracks in response to Obrafuor.”
Okyeame Kwame went on to explain that, at the time, he was ready to retaliate and had an entire album of lyrical responses prepared. However, he ultimately chose not to release any of the material.
He credits his wife and manager, Annica, along with other trusted advisors, for helping him decide to avoid escalating the dispute.
“I had some influential people around me who cautioned me to hold back,” Kwame revealed, noting that Annica’s influence, in particular, was a key factor in his decision. “She urged me not to release it, and I respected her advice.”
In retrospect, Okyeame Kwame is grateful he refrained from releasing the response tracks, which he believes would have led to a lasting rift between him and Obrafuor.

He reflected that while hip-hop and rap culture often embrace competitive “diss tracks” as part of the genre, keeping the peace allowed him to maintain a respectful relationship with Obrafuor and avoid a prolonged public feud.
“Looking back, I think it was the best decision,” he admitted, acknowledging that this restraint preserved not only his professional reputation but also the unity within the Ghanaian music industry.
