The Black Princesses emerged victorious in another thrilling Jollof derby against Nigeria, securing a 2-1 win to claim the gold medal in the women’s competition.

After a tense 120 minutes of play, Ghana’s team displayed resilience by coming from behind to defeat the Falconets.

Despite Nigeria taking the lead with a goal from Edeh Njideka in the first half, the Black Princesses fought back with an equalizer from Tracey Twum in the 78th minute.

The game went into extra time, where Mukarama Abdulai’s decisive goal sealed the victory for Ghana. This result marked the end of Nigeria’s reign as African Games champions.

Meanwhile, the U20 men’s team is set to face off against Uganda in the finals, after securing their spot by defeating Senegal in the semifinals.

Despite expectations for a showdown between Ghana and Nigeria, the Nigerians were unable to advance after losing to Uganda in the semis. The final match between Ghana and Uganda is scheduled for Friday, March 22nd.
