Neymar, who was once hailed as a promising figure in global football, openly expressed his opinion on Vinicius Junior’s appearance during an interview.
During a widely circulated social media video, Neymar participated in a rapid-fire question session and surprisingly revealed that he considers Vinicius Junior to be the least attractive player he has ever played alongside throughout his career.
The VIVA Sport interviewer asked the Brazil icon who he considers to be the ugliest player he’s worked with in his career so far, and he replied: “I played with a lot of ugly people.
With all due respect, Vinicius Junior. I’m sorry, I love you, but he’s very funny. Ugly but funny.”
Neymar, the ex-Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain legend was questioned about the most formidable opponent he has encountered throughout his career.
In response, he mentioned the name of Thiago Silva, his former teammate in the Brazilian national team. Neymar has crossed paths with Silva numerous times in the prestigious Champions League tournament.
Meanwhile, Brazil will face Paraguay in its Copa America Group D match in Las Vegas later today after a disappointing goalless draw against lowly Costa Rica in its opener left the five-time World Cup winner questioning how to sharpen its cutting edge.
Despite dominating possession, Brazil struggled to find a way past Costa Rica’s solid defensive setup, which consisted of a back five.
They had numerous opportunities in and around the opponent’s penalty area but failed to convert, with only three of their 19 shots hitting the target.
Paraguay, who suffered a 2-1 defeat to Colombia in their first game, is expected to adopt a similar defensive approach against Brazil.
This presents another challenge for Brazil’s 62-year-old manager, Dorival Jr, as he seeks to find solutions to unlock stubborn defenses and improve their accuracy in front of goal.
