Popular filmmaker and entertainment expert Ola Michael says Mzbel deserves commendation for the way she raised her young child to speak and demonstrate high level of intelligence.
Many people have criticised Mzbel’s 10-year-old son for his upbringing and the way he learned a lot about God and the world after he made comments indicating he does not believe in God. After her son’s controversial comments caused a stir in the country, Mzbel received harsh criticism for failing to properly raise him.
However, Ola Michael says that Mzbel, as a mother, deserves praise for raising an intelligent and outspoken child.
During the United Showbiz programme, Michael said, “I think Mzbel has done well. I watched the footage several times, and I was amazed. He [Mzbel’s son] made it clear that he is a single-parent kind of child. I did not hear him talking about his father in the interview.
“He mentions his mother’s name. So first of all, the woman [Mzbel] has done very well to train a 10-year-old boy to speak like that. When I was watching the interview, at first I was paying attention to the way he spoke, and I realised he was intelligent,” he added.
