Ghana’s tourism ambassador and celebrated media personality, Afua Asantewaa Aduonum, has once again captured the nation’s admiration with her second attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the Longest Singing Marathon (individual).
In a heartfelt social media message, she expressed deep gratitude to Ghanaians for their unwavering support during the marathon attempt, which lasted an impressive 121 hours and 39 minutes.
She posted;
“Hello, Ghana!” she began, her words resonating with warmth and pride. “I just wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you for your amazing support during my Guinness World Records Longest Singing Marathon Individual attempt. Your energy, your encouragement, and your love fueled my spirit and gave me the strength to push through the challenges.”

This was her second attempt to shatter the standing record of 105 hours, set in 2012. This year’s event was uniquely staged at Heroes Park in Kumasi, a location that added cultural significance and drew enthusiastic crowds throughout the challenge.
Afua also acknowledged the collective effort that made the event possible, stating, “Thank you for believing in me and for being part of this incredible journey.
“I am so proud to have represented Ghana on the global stage, and I am honored to have shared this experience with all of you.”
