Veteran Ghanaian comedian and media personality Kwaku Sintim-Misa (KSM) has launched a fierce critique of Matthew Opoku Prempeh, also known as NAPO, the vice presidential candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
KSM’s outrage was sparked by comments NAPO made during a political rally, which he believes could incite religious tensions between Muslims and Christians in Ghana.
Speaking passionately during a broadcast, KSM described NAPO’s remarks as immature and irresponsible. “What nonsense. What immaturity.
This is immaturity that borders on stupidity. How does a vice presidential candidate, supposedly educated, stand in front of Muslims and tell them that when you make a certain political choice, you have violated the rules of the Quran?” he questioned.

KSM argued that such statements were an unacceptable attempt to exploit religious beliefs for political gain and labelled the rhetoric as reckless and inflammatory.
The comedian further criticized NAPO for what he sees as a dangerous use of religion in the political arena, warning that it could fracture the delicate balance of religious harmony in Ghana.
“You cannot get on a platform for political reasons and agitate Muslims against Christians or vice versa. It is stupid. It is not in the interest of Ghana.
It is not even in the interest of whoever is saying that. It is wrong,” he said, expressing frustration with the lack of accountability in political discourse.
KSM, known for his unflinching commentary on national issues, reaffirmed his commitment to speaking truth to power.
He declared that he would not hesitate to call out actions he perceives as harmful to Ghana’s development, regardless of potential backlash.
“We have gotten to the stage in our development where we are looking for things to be done right. Whether you like it or not, we want things to be done right.
“And so long as I sit here if things are going wrong, I will say it. And I don’t give a hell about whatever you accuse me of,” he stated emphatically.
