Wontumi Lied to Me About Mahama – Owusu Bempah Confesses

, Ghana Street Journal

Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah, the founder of Glorious Word Power Ministries International, has made a shocking admission, revealing that his past criticisms of former President John Dramani Mahama were based on falsehoods fed to him by NPP’s Ashanti Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi.

Speaking to his congregation, Owusu Bempah expressed deep regret over how he had been misled into condemning Mahama without knowing the full truth.

According to him, Wontumi painted a negative picture of Mahama, influencing his opinions and public statements.

“President John Dramani Mahama is a good man with a good heart. I am always saddened that we did not know this in the past, and we spoke against him and condemned him because of what Chairman Wontumi and others told me,” he admitted.

“Chairman Wontumi is a liar because the things he said about President Mahama made me not like him, not knowing he was telling lies. I realized he was a liar when he lied about me.”

This confession marks a striking shift in Owusu Bempah’s stance, given his long history of aligning with the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and making declarations that often favoured the ruling party.

His past criticisms of Mahama were some of the most intense, with his name frequently associated with prophecies and statements that cast the former president in a negative light.

Now, with this revelation, he appears to be acknowledging that those views were not based on firsthand experience but rather on misinformation.
