Discussions about workplace harassment and gender solidarity often dominate conversations about professional challenges for women.
Media personality Nana Aba Anamoah recently weighed in on these issues, addressing the reality of sexual exploitation in the job market while also challenging the stereotype that women are their own worst enemies.
Speaking on United Showbiz on February 15, 2025, Nana Aba acknowledged the disturbing reality of women being asked for sexual favours in exchange for employment.
However, she revealed that she had never personally encountered such situations in her career.
“A lot of the time, women looking for jobs are asked to exchange positions for sex. I have never experienced that in my life.

Ever since I began to work, no man can say for a fact that they want to give me a job in exchange for sex. So when it happens to another woman and they come looking for advice, I struggle to give advice,” she shared.
Her comments reflect a broader issue in many industries, where young women seeking employment are often faced with exploitative conditions.
While some are forced into difficult decisions to secure career opportunities, others—like Nana Aba—have navigated their paths without such demands. This disparity highlights the need for stronger workplace protections and a shift in corporate culture to ensure merit-based hiring.

Beyond workplace harassment, Nana Aba also took aim at the common notion that women are their own worst enemies, calling it a misguided narrative that unfairly targets women while ignoring similar conflicts among men.
“Whenever women come together to do certain things, you would hear ‘women are their own enemies.’ This is rubbish; women are not their own enemies because men kill men all the time. And nobody says men are their own enemies,” she asserted.
