Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Davido are three prominent Nigerian musicians who have made a significant impact on the Afrobeats genre. Their immense talent and influence have often sparked rivalry among their fans, who engage in heated debates about who is the best.
In a recent interview, Wizkid shed light on his relationship with Burna Boy, who prefers to be called the African Giant. Wizkid described their bond as that of family, highlighting how they collaborated in the studio to create the hit song, Ginger.
During the interview, Wizkid also reminisced about working on his African Giant album and the initial plan to collaborate with Burna Boy on a track.
Wizkid admitted that he was under the influence of alcohol when he arrived at the studio, but as soon as the beat played, they immediately started recording.
The Starboy Entertainment boss emphasized the incredible energy they shared and expressed his belief that when artists with such synergy come together, the result is bound to be amazing.
Wizkid said; “Me and Burna Boy, that’s blood right, that’s family. He hit me up like, he was working on African Giant album and we were supposed to make a record for that one. And I went to the studio, I remember I was so drunk.
“I got in there, they played the beat and we just started going back and forth. You know me and Burna, it’s like family. We have great energy in the room. When you have two great people in the room they’re bound to make amazing music.”
