Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel stirred up laughs and debate after joking that Will Smith could have redeemed himself by slapping Kanye West at the 2025 Grammy Awards.
The remark came in response to the buzz surrounding Bianca Censori’s daring sheer outfit, which left little to the imagination on the red carpet.

During an episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the comedian took a swipe at Kanye, saying, “Another rodent came out of his hole to hit the red carpet at the Grammys last night—none other than Kanye West, who showed up to take photos.
He showed up for the red carpet only with his wife, who caused quite a stir. She was wearing … nothing.”
Kimmel then quipped, “And you know what’s a shame? Will Smith could have atoned for the Oscars slap by slapping Kanye instead.”
The comment referenced Smith’s infamous 2022 Oscars altercation with Chris Rock, which led to a 10-year Academy ban.
