Why I Decided To Contest For The Flagbearership Position- Kennedy Agyapong Speaks

Kennedy Ohene Agyapong is a Ghanaian politician and businessman who represents Assin Central in parliament for the New Patriotic Party, has stated because he’s just an MP, his opinions are not taken seriously that’s why he decided to run for office.

One of the major factors in his decision to run for president of Ghana is that he does not understand why so many young people in Ghana, despite their education levels and abilities, remain unemployed.

In a recent interview with UTV, Kennedy Agyapong stated that he has just come to the realization that his vision for Ghana’s youth and the country as a whole will only be realized if he is elected as president of Ghana. “I’m a businessman, and so I am very creative when it comes to business. Over the years, I have provided advice on what should be done, but because I am simply an MP, my opinions are not always taken into consideration”. he said.

“I’ve come to the realization that only if I become the president of Ghana can my dreams for the country be fulfilled. That’s why I’ve made the decision to run.

“I’m coming after the country’s young folks. I feel terrible and awful knowing that my American children can find work as soon as they graduate from college. So why is it that our students in Ghana have to wait at least six to seven years after graduating from college before they can start working?” he remarked
