Popular Ghanaian actor and musician Kwadwo Nkansah, known widely as Lilwin, has set his sights on a political appointment that might raise a few eyebrows.
Speaking in an interview with Amansan Krakye, Lilwin expressed his desire to become the “Minister of Festivals” in 2025, stating his intention to oversee all festivities in Ghana.

“Next year, all the festivities in Ghana—I’ll be the one to perform there,” Lil Win confidently declared. “So I want to be appointed as the Minister of Festivals in 2025.”
The multi-talented entertainer emphasized that his aspiration is not tied to any specific political allegiance, suggesting that his primary focus is contributing to celebrating Ghanaian culture.
“Whoever wins the elections—be it Cheddar, Mahama, or Bawumia—should kindly do the needful and appoint me as the Minister for Afahye,” he remarked with his signature humour.

Lil Win’s proposition highlights his belief in the importance of festivals as a cultural cornerstone in Ghana. He added, “I’m just looking at which government will come next year after winning the December 7 elections so that I’ll get that position.”
