Burna Boy has addressed the public backlash surrounding the arrest of rapper Speed Darlington.
In a blunt and unfiltered statement, Burna Boy expressed his frustration with how he is often criticized, while others seem to get away with far worse.
“When they talk, nobody cares, but when I react, it’s a nuclear disaster,” Burna Boy began in his remarks, reflecting on the double standards he perceives in the entertainment world.

His words seemed to stem from the recent controversy surrounding the arrest of rapper Speed Darlington, who had spent three weeks in detention before being granted bail.
Burna Boy, known for his fiery personality and willingness to speak his mind, further vented his frustration.

“Y’all don’t know how lucky you are that I have too much to lose now. Walahi, a lot of you would not be here no more,” he continued, hinting at the potential consequences of his actions if he weren’t as cautious as he is today.

Meanwhile, Speed Darlington, born Darlington Achakpo, has been granted bail by an Abuja court, bringing an end to his nearly month-long detention.
His release follows a tumultuous period that began with his arrest in late November after allegedly jumping bail about a previous legal matter.
The singer’s legal troubles began earlier this year when he was first arrested in October after a petition was filed against him by fellow musician Burna Boy.
The petition claimed that Speed Darlington had engaged in behaviour that required police intervention.
