Kwadwo Twum Boafo, the former Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Free Zones Authority, has expressed scepticism regarding Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s recent call for reconciliation and unity.
Speaking during an interview with Metro TV, Boafo criticized the immediate-past president’s gesture, questioning its timing and sincerity in light of past events.
“Suddenly, President Akufo-Addo says, ‘let’s forgive each other.’ When did he discover brotherhood?” Boafo questioned.
“This is the same person who flat-out terrorized some of us, the appointees of President Mahama, including President Mahama himself.

The former CEO did not hold back as he accused Akufo-Addo of fostering a political climate that alienated and mistreated members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) during his tenure.
“Today, he has discovered that we are brothers—after terrorizing us, he has now found brotherhood.
This reaction comes after President Akufo-Addo extended an olive branch to the incoming John Dramani Mahama government, emphasizing the need for collaboration and reconciliation in the country’s political discourse.
