Renowned Ghanaian actor and entertainer Agya Koo has paid an emotional tribute to former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as he officially leaves office.

In a message shared on January 7, 2024, following the investiture of President John Dramani Mahama, Agya Koo took to X (formerly Twitter) to express his admiration and gratitude for Akufo-Addo’s leadership.

“Now, as you begin your journey as a former President of Ghana, your legacy will continue to inspire generations,” Agya Koo wrote. “To those who doubted and criticized you, time will indeed vindicate your efforts. Thank you for your tireless service to Ghana. God bless you, Addo Dee.”

The actor’s words came as the nation witnessed a historic political moment, with John Dramani Mahama sworn in as Ghana’s new President.

Nana Akufo-Addo’s tenure is widely regarded by many as a failure, marked by minimal accomplishments.

However, Agya Koo holds a differing opinion, as he continues to extol Akufo-Addo’s virtues shortly after he assumed the presidency.

Agya Koo’s unwavering support for Akufo-Addo is no secret. Throughout the years, he championed the former President’s initiatives and policies, often using his platform to rally support for the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

His tribute, therefore, reflects not only his respect for Akufo-Addo’s contributions but also his personal connection to the former President’s vision for Ghana.
