Stonebwoy has addressed the disrespect he experienced from Efia Odo leading up to the 2024 Telecel Ghana Music Awards, particularly regarding the competition for the Artiste of the Year title between himself and King Promise.
Despite Efia Odo’s public apology on the widely viewed United Showboz program, Stonebwoy acknowledged her apology while also reflecting on the incident.
He expressed surprise at Efia Odo’s behaviour, emphasizing their previous friendship and stating that he did not anticipate such a reaction from her.
Stonebwoy shared his thoughts during an interview with MC Portfolio on the Portfolio podcast in Kumasi.
“It came to us as a shocker. No, no. I’ve known Efia Odo for years. Yesterday, when she came close, we were talking about that moment when I’d known her.
“So I think she’s done an honourable thing that we should look at, but maybe we should ask her what led to the regret or what led to the pullback,” Stonebwoy said.
He proposed that gaining insight into Efia Odo’s motivations for her actions might ultimately lead to a favourable reflection on himself.
“So maybe then she can state the fact that, okay, because of this, because of that. And that will probably make us see the rationale behind it. And it will point to something that will come back to credit Stonebwoy,” he said.
