Former student of Opoku Ware Senior High School, Dr. Paul Azunre, has shared an intriguing perspective on his use of marijuana. According to him, he perceives it as a form of medicine.

The ex-National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) star who is now an accomplished AI innovator and singer, opened up about his personal experience with weed during his pursuit of a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in the United States of America (USA).

He revealed that marijuana played a crucial role in alleviating his stress and depression during that challenging period.

This revelation came to light during an interview with Blakk Rasta on 3FM’s Urban Blend show, which took place on Friday, June 14, 2024.

When questioned about the effects of weed on him, Dr Azunre candidly shared his unique perspective on the matter.

“I think it’s medicine. Yeah so I can think… sometimes I say there were times in my life that it may have saved it. Because I was going through depression. I couldn’t eat.

“I couldn’t sleep. Just staying awake for days and days. During those moments, it allowed me to sleep, stop stressing about things, that in the big picture, don’t matter and to have an appetite,” he told Blakk Rasta.
