In a shocking turn of events, the father of actress Moesha Boduong, Mr. Ahmedu Boduong, has vehemently denied claims made by Prophet Percy Lartey, who alleged that Moesha was brought to his church in a state of paralysis and that he miraculously healed her.
The allegations, which have circulated widely on social media, have prompted Mr. Boduong to threaten legal action against the prophet for what he calls “disgracing the family.”
“Prophet Lartey’s claims are completely false,” Mr. Boduong stated in a recent interview.
“Moesha was indeed paralyzed for a period, but that was before we sought treatment from a traditional healer in Nima.
It is misleading and disrespectful for anyone to say they healed her when that simply isn’t true.”
According to Mr. Boduong, the family has faced considerable distress due to the Prophet’s public statements.
“We cannot allow this to go unchallenged,” he said firmly. “The way he exposed our family on social media is unacceptable.
“We are considering legal options to address this situation and restore our dignity.”
Moesha, known for her vibrant personality and presence in the entertainment industry, has been open about her health struggles in the past.
However, Mr. Boduong insists that the narrative put forth by Prophet Lartey misrepresents the family’s journey.
“Moesha’s recovery was due to the efforts of her family and the traditional healer, not some miraculous intervention from the Prophet,” he emphasized.
Moesha Boduong was featured in a viral video that has gained significant attention on social media, showcasing her effort to walk for the first time in several months following her stroke diagnosis.
The footage, recorded inside Divine Palace Ministry, led by Prophet Percy in Awoshie, captures Moesha as she takes tentative steps within the church, believed to be a result of divine healing, while the congregation offers their praises to God.
