Speaking to the media, Vanderpuye expressed his gratitude for the unwavering support from his constituency and beyond, stating, “Let me also take the opportunity to say good morning to our viewers, especially the people in my constituency and, of course, to the whole country, especially Greater Accra and the Ashanti Region. I thank them so much.”

Reflecting on the NDC’s campaign strategy, Vanderpuye underscored the dedication and resilience of the party’s members.

He stated, “The NDC worked harder. It’s clear. We were able to break barriers and get to places we’ve never been before – nobody needed anyone to push him, to incentivize him, to encourage him to be on the ground.”

His words speak to the tireless efforts of the party’s supporters, who were determined to make their voices heard, regardless of personal interests.

He went on to highlight the party’s unity, emphasizing that they put aside their differences to focus on a singular goal—electing John Dramani Mahama as President.

“We put our differences behind us. We didn’t look at what we’re getting as individuals. We just focused on making Mahama president,” Vanderpuye remarked, emphasizing the collective ambition that drove the NDC’s efforts during the election.
